W.I.L.D. Women of the Week: Saudi law students

Those of us practicing law probably take it for granted that we could just go out and get a job after law school. Some women unfortunately don’t have access to law schools or even if they get some legal training, aren’t permitted to practice. From an article titled “Saudi Women Studying Law Wish to Practice It Once They Graduate”:

“Saudi women studying law at King Abdul Aziz University (KAAU) are pushing to practice in an all-male domain on graduation next year….“It is our right to practice law and we are needed here,” stressed Hanouf Al-Hazaa, 23.”

I think I will try to make this “W.I.L.D. Women” topic a weekly feature. We need more positive, inspirational stories about women in the practice of law to keep up morale!
